The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) has welcomed a new chairperson, Kiprono Kittony, who took over the role on July 13, 2020, following the resignation of Samuel Kimani.
Kittony, who served as the national chairman of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI) for two terms, brings a wealth of experience to the role. He is also the current chairman of Radio Africa Group and CEO at Capital Realtime Ltd.
Kittony's appointment is a significant milestone for the NSE, and he is expected to play a key role in shaping the exchange's future. He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from the University of Nairobi and a Global Executive MBA from USIU (in conjunction with Columbia University).
Kittony has been serving as a non-executive board member at the NSE since 2018 and has also held various other leadership positions, including chair of the Credit Reference Bureau Kenya Limited (CRB), AAR insurance Limited, and Mtech Limited.
