Former K24 news anchor Betty Kyali has found herself at the center of a social media storm after being linked to a brown handbag spotted in a private jet carrying politicians Junet and Joho to Dubai.
However, in a twist of events, blogger Edgar Obare came forward with evidence that the woman in the jet was not Betty, but Natalie Tewa, a city influencer and vlogger.
Obare shared screenshots and visa evidence that revealed the real owner of the brown leather bag, which had sparked a heated debate on social media.
According to Obare, a lady who claimed to be present at the airport told him that Natalie was present at the airport and was occasionally being hidden to avoid suspicion.
Hours later, Governor Joho posted another photo on Twitter, announcing their arrival in Dubai, with a lady carrying the 'handbag' in the picture.
However, Obare's confessions revealed that the lady looked like part of the cabin crew, and was indeed a crew member, as Joho captioned the photo.
Betty Kyali has since given Kenyans 24 hours to apologize for linking her to the brown handbag, or she will take legal action.
