When it comes to cooking, many people feel overwhelmed by the thought of standing in the kitchen, preparing ingredients, and cooking a meal. However, cooking doesn't have to be rocket science. With a little bit of guidance, it can be an enjoyable and therapeutic experience.

Here are five cooking tips for beginners to get started:

1. Invest in the Right Equipment

Having the right equipment can make a big difference in the cooking process. When you're just starting out, keep it simple by investing in a few essential items, such as different sized knives, a chopping board, and different sized sufurias.

2. Stock Up on Foods You Enjoy

The easiest way to learn how to cook is to prepare foods that you actually enjoy. Stock up on essentials like rice, spaghetti, meats, eggs, tomatoes, and onions. You'll also need cooking oil and salt, and you can start with spices that you can use in multiple dishes.

3. Get Recipes

Recipes are a great resource for beginners. You can find them online, in cookbooks, or from family and friends. Make sure to read through the recipe and understand what's required of you before you start cooking.

4. Learn Cooking Methods

Knowing the different cooking methods, such as boiling, frying, stewing, and steaming, is essential for any beginner. Start with what you find easiest, like boiling or steaming rice and stewing meat, and then move on to more complex methods.

5. Watch Videos for Guidance

If you're unsure about a particular cooking technique or ingredient, watching a video can be a great way to get guidance. YouTube is full of cooking videos that can help debunk even the toughest cooking mysteries.
