On July 14, 2020, the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) announced the appointment of Kiprono Kittony as its new chairman.

Kittony, a seasoned business leader, replaces Samuel Kimani who resigned on July 13, 2020, after serving as the chairman of the NSE board since 2012.

Kittony is also the chairman of the boards of CreditInfo CRB Kenya Ltd, AAR Insurance Ltd, Mtech Ltd, and Radio Africa Group.

According to the NSE, Kimani will remain on the board as an independent non-executive director for one more year, while Bob Karina will continue to serve as the Vice-Chairman of the Board for the next year.

Kittony has been serving on the NSE board as a non-executive member since 2018.

He previously served as the KNCCI President for two terms from 2012, before passing on the baton to the current President Richard Ngatia.
