On July 9, 2020, a devastating accident occurred on the Dallas North Tollway in Texas, resulting in the tragic loss of a Kenyan woman, Edith Nyasuguta Mochama, also known as Nyasuu.
According to reports, Edith was hit by a truck tractor-semitrailer and became trapped under the trailer. Despite rescue efforts, she was transported to a local medical facility, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
The news of Edith's passing has sent shockwaves through the community, with friends and family members seeking to mobilize support for her repatriation to Kenya for a final interment.
A message from her friends, shared on social media, reads: 'It is with utmost regret, shock & sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of EDITH NYASUGATA MOCHAMA popularly known as “ “ “NYASUU”that occurred on 07/09/2020 in Dallas Texas. According to DPS, EDITH was hit by a truck and then trapped under the trailer, police are still investigating.'
