On July 13, 2020, President Uhuru Kenyatta expressed his condolences to President Cyril Ramaphosa, the Mandela family, and the people of South Africa after the passing of Ambassador Zindziswa Mandela.
At 59 years old, Zindziswa Mandela, who served as South Africa's Ambassador to Denmark, passed away on Monday morning at a hospital in Johannesburg, according to the Nelson Mandela Foundation.
President Kenyatta wished the Mandela family God's comfort as they mourned their departed kin, describing Zindziswa as a fighter who was vocal in matters of land reforms and ending racism in South Africa.
Many remembered her as a warrior who feared nothing and no one, echoing her social media post that read, “Dear Apartheid apologists, your time is over. You will not rule again. We do not fear you. Finally the #landisours.”
