According to reports, the cases first emerged on Sunday, prompting concerned members of the public to seek clarification on the situation.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe addressed the situation during a Monday briefing, stating that the infected nurses had been placed in isolation.
The Ministry of Health assured the public that the infections had been contained and that patients admitted to the hospital were safe.
A mass testing exercise was conducted at the facility, and the management is considering a partial lockdown.
CS Kagwe explained, "The situation will be assessed by the medics and so far, we have been able to isolate everybody and I know there's mass testing that has been able to be done in the entire hospital. We were able to isolate two more yesterday. So far it is not necessary to close the hospital."
