On July 12, 2020, Raila Odinga, the leader of the ODM party, returned to Kenya after undergoing surgery in Dubai, where he had been receiving specialized medical treatment.

According to reports, Raila had traveled to Dubai for the surgery, which was performed on his spine. He was accompanied by Governor Hassan Joho and MP Junet Mohammed, who visited him in the hospital and assured the public that he was recovering well.

Raila's return to Kenya was met with relief from his supporters, who had been concerned about his health after his brother, Oburu Odinga, revealed that he had left the country for medical treatment.

Raila's surgery was reportedly successful, and he is now recovering at home. His return to Kenya marks the end of a three-week stay in Dubai, where he had been undergoing treatment.
