On July 13, 2020, a Lamu court charged Omar Lali, the boyfriend to the late Keroche heiress Tecra Muigai, with murder.
According to detectives, the police and the prosecutor are satisfied that the death of Tecra Muigai was not accidental.
Reports indicate that Lali will be arraigned at the Garsen Law courts on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.
As the prime suspect in Tecra's death, Lali was arrested on Monday, July 13, 2020, awaiting his arraignment.
It is alleged that Tecra fell in the bathroom of the house she shared with Lali, but the suspect's account of the incident has been inconsistent.
Initially, Lali claimed Tecra tumbled down the stairs, but later changed his account to say she tripped in the bathroom.
However, responders who took Tecra to hospital provided accounts that were inconsistent with Lali's versions of events.
