On July 13, 2020, Tanzania's President Pombe Magufuli brought together two of the country's most prominent musicians, Diamond Platnumz and Ali Kiba, at a high-profile event.
The two musicians, who have been on opposite ends for years, put aside their differences and sat together at a table, smiling and exchanging niceties.
They were joined by Harmonize, a fellow musician who had previously been a close friend and supporter of Diamond Platnumz before the two had a bitter fallout.
President Magufuli praised the musicians, saying, "It makes me so happy to see Ali Kiba sitting next to Diamond Platnumz. It shows you how powerful our political party is."
The president also congratulated Harmonize for praising Diamond Platnumz after their past bitter fallout.
Despite their differences, the three musicians seemed to put aside their past conflicts and enjoyed the moment, smiling as they listened to their leader laud them with pride.
