Published on July 13, 2020, a tragic incident unfolded in Kaumoni village, Machakos, where two lovers were found dead in a one-roomed house.
According to preliminary investigations, the couple, identified as Dennis Pius, 28, and Susan Ndeto, 19, were found with ropes around their necks hanging from the roof.
The girl's body was in a kneeling position, while the man's body was almost standing, held upright by a rope.
The couple had arrived at the man's home on Friday evening, and their bodies were discovered the following day, Sunday, by the girl's mother, who had called her daughter's phone at around 10 am but was unable to reach her.
Witnesses reported that they had seen the couple in the morning and none of them appeared to be in distress.
Area Assistant Chief Ruth Mwende confirmed the incident and stated that investigations have already begun.
The bodies of the two were taken to the Kangundo Hospital Mortuary awaiting a Post-Mortem.
