As the country's economy slowly reopens, the government has begun resuming operations in Huduma centres nationwide, with a focus on adhering to Covid-19 prevention measures.
Public Service Principal Secretary Mary Kimonye emphasized the importance of following guidelines issued by the Ministry of Public Service, which include maintaining social distancing, sanitizing hands, and adhering to other health protocols.
Ms. Kimonye visited the Nanyuki Huduma Centre on Friday to assess its readiness to resume full operations, and encouraged government agencies to resume their services in line with the issued guidelines.
With the gradual reopening of the economy, Huduma centres have been instructed to scale up their operations, having previously downscaled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Customers visiting the Huduma Centre are advised to follow strict health protocols, including maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres from each other and coughing/sneezing into their elbows or disposable tissues.
Other government services such as business registration, NHIF, NSFF, and NTSA services can still be accessed online and via mobile platforms.
