On July 4, 2020, a new real estate project estimated to be worth Sh. 11 billion was launched in Kiambu County. The project, dubbed Samara Estate, aims to provide affordable housing to Kenyans.

Bishop Mark Kariuki, the head of Deliverance Church, was among the key figures who pitched for the project. He emphasized the importance of owning a home, saying, “Owning a home is for the long run the most deliberate investment.”

As the chairman of Tushia Global Holdings, a consultancy and sales firm tasked with marketing and selling the project, Bishop Kariuki played a crucial role in the launch. The project was also graced by Housing and Urban Development Principal Secretary Charles Hinga.

Samara Estate is being developed by Sycamore Pine Ltd in conjunction with Safaricom and Shelter Afrique. The project involves the construction of 1,920 housing units by the China Syno Hydro Building Company. The units will sell at Sh. 2.95 million and Sh. 3.95 million for the two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments respectively.
