Kenya Airways is set to resume its domestic flights on July 15, 2020, following the lifting of local travel restrictions.

The airline will operate twice daily flights to Mombasa and once to Kisumu, with plans to review and increase frequencies as demand picks up.

Chief Executive Allan Kilavuka emphasized the carrier's top priority remains the health and safety of passengers and staff.

"I want to thank our customers for giving us the opportunity to serve them and for trusting us to get them to their different destinations," he said in a statement.

As Kenya Airways resumes its domestic operations, it is also facing challenges from its pilots, who have dismissed the airline's plan to fire workers.
