As of the latest Twitter app update, users running iOS 11 or older will no longer receive updates. This change is reflected in version 8.26 of the app, which requires an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad running iOS 12 or later.

According to Apple, 81% of all iPhone and iPod touch devices now run iOS 13, while 73% of iPads now run iPadOS 13. This suggests that a significant number of users have already updated their devices.

However, it's uncertain for how long the Twitter app will continue to work on devices running iOS 11. To avoid compatibility issues with third-party apps, it's essential to keep your iPhone and iPad updated.

Twitter users running iOS 11 can easily update to iOS 12, which should resolve any compatibility issues. The company's decision to drop support for older iOS versions is not uncommon, given Apple's fast adoption rate for the latest available updates.

"Please update to iOS 12+ to continue to benefit from regular feature updates, performance improvements and bug fixes, as Twitter will no longer be supporting devices on iOS 11 or older."
