On Sunday, goons raided Ford Kenya offices in Nairobi, sparking outrage from the opposition. Musalia Mudavadi, leader of the Amani National Congress Party, has spoken out against the attack, questioning why his party and Ford Kenya have been targeted in recent times.

Addressing the press, Mudavadi condemned the actions, saying, 'Jiulize ni kwa nini wanalenga ANC, ni kwa nini wanalenga Ford Kenya?' (Please ask yourselves why ANC and Ford Kenya parties are the targets of these actions).

He urged Kenyans to defend the constitution and democracy, adding that the attack on Ford Kenya offices is unacceptable.

According to Mudavadi, the attacks and intimidation witnessed in the past are a result of his declaration to run for the presidency in the 2022 general election.

'The reason is because we have said we are going for the presidency, and the time is ripe and the time is now,' Mudavadi stated.

Yesterday, armed policemen surrounded the home of Emuhaya MP Omboko Milemba, where Mudavadi and Moses Wetangula were scheduled to hold talks in quest for Luhya unity. The meeting was eventually allowed to proceed after the policemen withdrew.
