Kenya's COVID-19 cases have reached 10,105, with 379 new cases reported on July 12, 2020. The country has also seen 49 recoveries and one death.

The Ministry of Health tested 7,050 samples, bringing the cumulative number of samples tested since the virus hit Kenya to 215,037.

According to the Ministry of Health, the youngest of the new patients was a two-year-old child, while the oldest was 97 years of age.

Out of the positive cases, 376 are Kenyans, while 3 are foreigners, with 253 being males, and 126 of them female, as stated by the Ministry of Health.

The distribution of cases was as follows: Nairobi was leading with 209 cases, followed by Kiambu (49), Busia (38), Migori (19), Mombasa (16), Kajiado (12), Uasin Gishu (eight), Lamu (six), Machakos and Nakuru had five each, Narok, Wajir and Kisumu recorded two cases each, while Garissa, Isiolo, Kericho, Nyamira, Nyeri, and Trans Nzoia counties recorded a case each.

On a positive note, 49 patients won the battle against the virus and were discharged, raising the number of recoveries to 2,881, while one more patient died of the virus, pushing the death toll to 185.
