On Sunday, a group of women in Kajiado took to the streets to protest against the increasing levels of teenage pregnancies and sexual violence in their area.

According to Nkama Assistant Chief, Lekato Ole Lejeso, the women demolished illegal structures where illicit brew and other drugs are peddled, in a bid to curb the vice.

Lejeso stated that 24 students, including primary and secondary-school going girls, are expectant, highlighting the need for urgent intervention.

Police have started investigations to arrest the three boys who gang-raped a 13-year-old Class Eight girl, who is currently receiving treatment at the Oloitoktok Sub-County Hospital.

The women pleaded with national government and county administrators to intervene and save young girls from sexual predators.
