Published on July 12, 2020, Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be delighted with Manchester United's recent resurgence under the leadership of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
United have enjoyed an excellent run of results since the turn of the year, with the team well on course to qualify for the Champions League.
According to a source who worked with the legendary manager, Ferguson has been in constant touch with Solskjaer and is thrilled by the emergence of academy graduates Mason Greenwood and Scott McTominay.
Greenwood has been in sensational scoring form since the restart, while McTominay has played a supporting role in recent weeks.
"Alex has been enjoying the recent weeks of football's return and the way United have emerged from lockdown," the source was quoted saying.
"But he's been delighted the way Solskjaer is managing the team and I believe they have spoken a couple of times in the last few weeks," the source continued.
