On July 11, a funeral service for Isaac Cherogony, husband of Baringo Women Representative Gladwell Cheruiyot, turned into a battleground for the factions loyal to Deputy President William Ruto and Senator Gideon Moi.

At the service, Baringo North MP William Cheptumo and his Tiaty counterpart William Kamket clashed over the changes in leadership at the National Assembly.
