On July 11, 2020, detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU), and the Special Services Unit (SSU) conducted a raid on a house in Chepkatet village in Kapseret Sub-County, Uasin Gishu County.
During the operation, the detectives arrested two suspected terrorists, Mohamed Ahmed Bisher, 59, and Nasanga Ibrahim, 69, a foreigner.
Among the items seized from the suspects' house were explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses, and boosters.
According to the DCI, the suspects are in lawful custody as further investigations continue.
