On Saturday, July 11th, 2020, Kenyan internationals Amos Nondi and Johanna Omolo were in action in Europe.

Nondi, a former Gor Mahia player, played the entire match for FC Dila Gori as they thrashed Merani Tbilisi 4-0 at the Tengiz Burjanadze Stadium in Gori, Georgia.

Ukrainian forward Mykola Kovtalyuk scored a brace, while Nika Gagnidze and Irakli Lekvtadze also found the back of the net for Dila Gori.

With the win, Dila Gori moved to the top of the log with 11 points from 5 matches, and they will face second-placed Dinamo Tbilisi on Sunday, July 19th.

Nondi joined Dila Gori in 2018 after a season at FC Kolkheti Poti, where he had previously played for Gor Mahia.

In Belgium, Johanna Omolo came off the bench and wore the captain's armband as Cercle Brugge beat Kortrijk 1-0 in a friendly match at the Guldensporen Stadium.

Congolese striker Guy Mbenza scored the winning goal for Cercle Brugge.

Omolo had expressed his excitement about football returning in a tweet on July 5th, 2020, saying 'Finally Football is Back! #60minsinthelegs #zultecercle #ballislife'.
