Terror Suspects Nabbed in Kapsaret with Bomb Making Materials

Published on July 12, 2020, two suspected terrorists were arrested in Kapsaret, Uasin Gishu County, by a combined team of detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Anti-Terrorism Police Unit (ATPU) and the Special Services Unit (SSU).

The suspects, Mohamed Ahmed Bisher, 59, and Nasanga Ibrahim, 68, a foreign national, were arrested in Chepkatet village, Kapsaret Sub-County, with bomb making materials.

According to a statement from the DCI, assorted explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses, and boosters were recovered during the operation.

The suspects are in lawful custody as further investigations continue.
