On July 12, 2020, a multi-agency team of detectives from the DCI, Anti-terror police Unit, and the DCI special Service Unit conducted a sting operation in Chepkatet, Uasin Gishu.
During the operation, the team arrested two terror suspects: Mohamed Ahmed Bisher, aged 59, and Nasanga Ibrahim, a foreign national aged 68.
The suspects are currently in lawful custody while investigations into the matter are ongoing.
The operation also recovered assorted explosives, detonators, detonating cords, safety fuses, and boosters.
