John Keige, the director of Jiweke Tavern Restaurant, has left behind a legacy of good service and hospitality after his sudden death on Tuesday, June 7.

According to a representative from the restaurant, Keige collapsed outside his home in Nyari Estate, Nairobi, while jogging after lunch.

He was pronounced dead upon arrival at Nairobi Hospital, with reports suggesting that he died of a heart attack.

Speculations had earlier emerged that Keige might have died of Covid-19, but the exact cause of his death remains unclear.

Keige's restaurant, located off Ngong Road in Nairobi, has been in the news for its consistent good service provision and has a conferencing facility, a restaurant, and a bar section with regular events.

His death has left his family and colleagues in mourning, with many remembering him as a good-hearted boss and the best director anyone could have asked for.
