Alvan Gatitu, a popular TikTok personality, found himself in a difficult situation when his landlord evicted him from his house due to accumulated rent arrears. The effects of the Covid-19 pandemic had taken a toll on his job, leaving him struggling to pay his bills.
With no other options, Gatitu turned to social media, sharing his story in a video that quickly went viral. Kenyans from all over the country responded with overwhelming financial support, raising over Sh2 million for the struggling star.
As Gatitu's fortunes changed, he decided to visit the watchman who had offered him a place to sleep, Wafula Kizito. Moved by the security guard's kindness, Gatitu decided to repay him in a big way.
Wafula had always dreamed of starting a boda-boda business, but lacked the means to purchase a motorbike. Gatitu, however, was more than happy to grant his wish, buying him a brand-new bike and assisting him in acquiring the necessary documentation.
With his new motorcycle, Wafula has since quit his job to begin carrying passengers in his hometown of Kakamega. Gatitu's kindness didn't stop there, as he also helped Wafula's wife open a bank account and deposited some cash to boost their small business.
