On July 11, 2020, authorities in Nakuru County took swift action to prevent the spread of Covid-19 by stopping a daytime exotic dance event scheduled to take place at Sebs Hotel, located on Moi Road.

The event, dubbed 'Vegas Heat Saturday,' was set to start at 3pm and end at 9pm, but health officials intervened, citing ongoing Covid-19 regulations.

According to a notice issued by Public Health chief officer Samuel King'ori, Covid-19 regulations are still in force, and anyone who contravenes them will face legal action and have their licenses revoked permanently.

When the Standard Digital team visited the hotel at 2:30pm, the hotel was deserted, and a security guard at the gate confirmed that no such event would take place.

Sebs Club manager Simon Ndung'u initially claimed that the exotic dancers were only scheduled to rehearse, but later clarified that an error had been made in creating the event poster.
