Hakim Ziyech, the Moroccan winger, has officially joined Chelsea in London, marking the club's first signing under manager Frank Lampard.
On Saturday, July 11, 2020, Ziyech arrived at the Cobham training ground, where he began light training duties and met with Chelsea's technical and performance advisor, Petr Cech.
Chelsea confirmed the transfer on Twitter, sharing a photo of Ziyech in the Blues' training gear with the caption, 'Welcome to Chelsea, Hakim!'
According to reports, Ziyech was bought by Chelsea for around €40 million and is expected to bring his skills to the right flank or left wing.
Before joining Chelsea, Ziyech played for Ajax, where he was instrumental in the team's success over the past two seasons, scoring 16 league goals and setting up 13 others in just 29 appearances.
Chelsea fans have also received good news with the confirmation that striker Tammy Abraham has activated an extra year option on his current contract, and Leipzig striker Timo Werner is also set to join the London club after the completion of the Bundesliga season.
