Man United Fan Wins KSh 5 Million After Betting Liverpool Would Win Premier League ¶

Tony Ward, a 55-year-old Manchester United fan, has won a life-changing KSh 5 million after betting Liverpool would win the Premier League. Ward, a staunch Man United fan, inherited the money from his late mother and used it to place a £55,000 bet on Liverpool's victory.
Ward, who has been waiting nervously for his winnings since the Premier League was suspended in March, staked the bet back in October, putting the lot on Liverpool at odds of 4/6.
He revealed that he picked Liverpool after a long debate, saying, 'Liverpool were always looking like they could win the title. I picked them after a long, long debate.'
Ward's mother, Rose, passed away in 2017 at the age of 82. He claimed that his mother would not have minded what he did with the money, saying, 'She wouldn’t have minded what I did with the money — not at all. She liked a flutter! She liked the horses. But I’d give it all back to have my mum still around.'
Ward plans to use the money to take a big holiday and save the rest for a rainy day.
