On July 10, 2020, Eric Agolla Lugalia, a Kenyan pilot, was charged with forging documents to claim a Sh250 million land in Nairobi's Karen area.

The land, located along Bogani Road, measures 1.970 hectares and is valued at Sh250 million.

Lugalia allegedly forged a land title dated August 2, 2005, and a sale agreement purporting them to be genuine documents issued by the Ministry of Lands and signed by Jonathan Kipkemboi Toroitich, the late son of former President Daniel arap Moi.

When arraigned in court, Lugalia denied the charges, and his lawyers pleaded with the court to bar the media from publishing the proceedings, but the request was dismissed.

Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe granted Lugalia a cash bail of Sh150,000 and set the mention date for July 30.
