Published on July 11, 2020, a sex expert has shed light on a crucial relationship red flag that women should never ignore. According to Nadia Bokody, if your partner refuses to have sex with you on your period, it's a sign that they might not be the right person for you.

Nadia made this revelation after recalling a conversation with a woman who confessed that her boyfriend wouldn't touch her during her period. The woman explained that her boyfriend found the idea of period sex repulsive, and Nadia believes that this attitude is a major red flag in a relationship.

Research has shown that women who have negative views of period sex often have experienced judgment or shaming from their male partners. A study published in the journal Feminism and Psychology in 2011 found that this was a common theme among women who held negative views of period sex.

Nadia emphasizes that this is not about respecting sexual boundaries but rather about recognizing a relationship red flag. She believes that if your partner is repulsed by the idea of period sex, you should consider ending the relationship.

On the other hand, period sex can have several health benefits, including helping with cramping, shortening the length of the period cycle, and increasing a woman's sex drive.
