Comedian Zainabu Zeddy's recent accusations against Churchill Show creative director Victor Ber have sparked a heated debate in the comedy industry. Ber has been accused of gatekeeping, which has allegedly led to the demise of many comedians' dreams.
According to Ber, he has always been friends with the late Joseph Musyoki Kivindu, also known as Kasee, who passed away last week. Ber claims that Zeddy's accusations were unfounded and that she had her reasons for making the statements, which she explained to him during a phone call.
During their conversation, Ber told Zeddy that her actions had caused him and his family harm, including his wife and young children. He also expressed his hurt over the allegations that he had a hand in Kasee's death, which was revealed to be caused by poison in the autopsy report.
Ber believes that Zeddy's accusations were not made by her, but rather by someone else who edited the videos to make it seem like she was the one speaking. He also claims that he has a way of working with people and that discipline is essential to maintain order in the industry.
On July 11, 2020, Ber spoke to Nairobi News about the allegations and his side of the story. He expressed his hurt over the accusations and his desire to clear his name.
