Published on July 11, 2020, a former Kenyan football star, Arnold Origi, has been making a significant impact in the lives of street families in Nairobi, Kenya, from his base in Helsinki, Finland.

Origi, who has been a vocal advocate for social justice, started a program to feed street families at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative, which has gained momentum, sees Origi collecting funds from his friends and family in Norway and Finland to support the program.

Every week, Origi sends a significant amount of money, approximately Sh150,000, to Nairobi to cater for the needs of the street families. The funds are used to provide a whole lunch meal, including water, fruits, and milk, as well as bread for the mothers to use for breakfast the following day.

Origi's program has been a huge success, with the team aiming to feed at least 150 people per sitting. The meals are prepared by a team of caterers, led by Ryan Williams, who has praised Origi for his immense support and generosity.

Francis Karanja, who runs the logistics for the program, has expressed the team's desire to expand the initiative to other areas, citing the overwhelming response from the street families.

Origi's efforts have not gone unnoticed, with many praising his selflessness and commitment to giving back to his community. The former football star has also been working with other organizations, including the Single Mothers Initiative, to provide support to vulnerable groups.

Origi's story is a testament to the power of kindness and generosity, and serves as an inspiration to others who wish to make a positive impact in their communities.
