On July 10, 2020, gospel singer Kevin Bahati made a surprise declaration that left many Kenyans stunned: he would be the country's president by 2037.
Speaking on the 10 Over 10 show with Willis Raburu, Bahati confidently stated, 'One thing that I am sure about is that I can confirm to you, mark this day and mark these words, In 2037 a youth will be the president of this country and that youth will be Kevin Bahati.'
While many of his fans were impressed by the announcement and congratulated him, others were quick to criticize him, urging him to stick to his music career.
Bahati's declaration came as a surprise to many, given his previous lack of interest in politics. However, his recent meeting with Deputy President William Ruto had sparked speculation about his potential involvement in politics.
