July 11, 2020, marked a day of controversy for the award-winning Churchill Show, with creative director Victor Ber at the center of a storm. Ber has been accused by comedian Zainabu Zeddy of frustrating comedians, resulting in depression and even death.

According to Zeddy, Ber has been sabotaging female comedians to give his wife, Teacher Wanjiku, an edge. In a series of posts on social media, Zeddy accused Ber of not wanting any female comedians to succeed, so that his wife could shine.

However, in an interview with the Daily Nation, Ber dismissed the claims, stating that Zeddy shall remain a friend and inviting her to the Churchill Show. He also pointed an accusing finger at unnamed individuals who are keen on sowing discord among the team behind the epic Churchill show.

Ber's response came after a number of comedians in the show have suffered depression followed by untimely death. Njenga Mswahili and Kasee are among the comedians whose recent deaths raised concerns.

Despite Ber's denial, the allegations have sparked a heated debate, with many calling for an investigation into the matter. The Churchill Show has been a staple of Kenyan comedy for years, and the allegations have left many fans and comedians alike feeling shocked and concerned.
