July 11, 2020 - President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party has been undergoing significant changes, with the latest development being the removal of Soy MP Caleb Kositany from his position.

According to sources, the President's plan is to ensure the party is free from internal conflicts and remains loyal to his agenda. This move is seen as a step towards the 2022 general elections.

David Murathe, a key ally of the President, was quoted as saying, 'The party must have only the most loyal and those committed to President Uhuru's agenda. We are taking no prisoners. If he has to go, he will go. We do not want any distractions on the president's agenda.'

Kositany, who had earlier predicted his axing, claimed that the ruling party had morphed from what they had envisioned, to a dictatorial outfit where members are not listened to.

Jubilee secretary general Raphael Tuju, however, downplayed the move, saying, 'President has nothing personal with anyone. All he wants is to develop the country and we will work with like-minded people to achieve that.'
