On July 30th, 2020, a Kenyan pilot, Eric Agolla Lugalia, will appear in court again after being arraigned over alleged illegal acquisition of a multi-million-shilling parcel of land in Nairobi.
According to court documents, Lugalia is accused of forging documents to lay claim on a 1.970-hectare plot of land in Karen, Nairobi, worth over Sh250 million.
The land, located along Bogani Road, was allegedly forged with a fake land title dated August 2nd, 2005, purporting it to be a genuine certificate of title granted by the Ministry of Lands.
Lugalia also faces a second count of forging a sale agreement for the property, claiming it was signed by Jonathan Kipkemboi Toroitich, the late son of former President Daniel Arap Moi.
Appearing before Nairobi Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe on Friday, Lugalia pleaded not guilty to the charges and was granted a cash bail of Sh150,000.
