Kenya's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) has been plunged into chaos, with Kenyans being stranded despite having the necessary COVID-19 papers.

According to eyewitnesses, only diplomats are being allowed to leave the airport, while others are being forced to undergo self-quarantine.

Kenyan Bulletin has obtained exclusive photos of the situation at JKIA, which has sparked widespread concern among Kenyans.

As the country continues to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic, the situation at JKIA has raised questions about the effectiveness of the government's response to the crisis.

It is worth noting that this is not the first time that JKIA has been at the center of controversy. In recent months, the airport has been plagued by reports of negligence and mismanagement, including the grounding of a Chinese plane amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

Kenya Airways CEO Allan Kilavuka had earlier announced plans to downsize the airline's operations, citing dwindling revenues due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

"A decision has been reached to carry out an organisation-wide rightsizing exercise which will result in a reduction of our network, our assets, and our staff," Kilavuka stated in a memo to staff.
