Kenya's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Manoah Esipisu, has been appointed Chairperson of the Executive Committee of the Board of Governors at the Commonwealth Secretariat.

Located in London, the Commonwealth Secretariat is the main intergovernmental agency and central institution of the Commonwealth of Nations.

Its key responsibilities include facilitating cooperation between member countries, organizing meetings, and providing assistance to countries in implementing Commonwealth decisions and policies.

Esipisu previously served as President Uhuru Kenyatta's spokesman from 2013 to 2018, before being nominated for the High Commissioner position in 2018.
