July 11, 2020, will be remembered as the day the music industry lost a talented artiste, Lady Maureen. The Ohangla queen, who passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, left behind a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.

During her heyday, Lady Maureen was known for her energetic performances and catchy songs, which often praised politicians from Nyanza, including Raila Odinga. Her repertoire included hits like K'ogalo and Wang'ni Wabiro.

One of her most notable achievements was creating a song titled Barack Obama Obama Wuod Alego in praise of former US President Barack Obama. This made her the first Kenyan musician to do so.

Before her untimely passing, Lady Maureen had launched her fifth album, Raila Roho, two years ago. Her music and performances will be deeply missed by her fans and the music industry as a whole.
