Celebrated Ohangla musician Maureen Achieng, alias Lady Maureen, has left a lasting legacy in the music industry.

Maureen, born on November 22, 1984, at Seme Kombewa village, was a talented singer who produced several popular songs, mostly singing about key politicians in Nyanza region.

Tragically, Maureen passed away at 3:21am at her cousin's place in Uriri constituency, Migori county.

Her cousin, Bella Akinyi, confirmed the news over the phone, stating that Maureen had been undergoing home-based care after being discharged from Pastor Machage hospital in Migori town.

Maureen's death comes after rumors about her health had circulated on social media, prompting her to record a video confirming she was alive.
