On July 11, 2020, a video captured the moment a high school student took a significant step in his relationship by proposing to his girlfriend in front of their classmates.

The video, shared on Twitter by user Rumani (@RealMrumaDrive), shows the young man down on one knee, holding a small bouquet of flowers, and asking his girlfriend to marry him.

As the classmates look on, the young lady is seen contemplating her answer before finally saying yes. The boyfriend then slips a ring onto her finger, and the crowd erupts in cheers and applause.

According to most countries' laws, the legal age to get married is 18 and above. However, in this case, it is unclear whether the couple obtained the necessary consent from their parents or guardians.

While some people found the video amusing, others sparked a debate on the young age of the couple and the seriousness of their decision.

Interestingly, this is not the first time a high school student has gotten married. In a previous report, an 18-year-old boy named Chase Smith married his 18-year-old girlfriend after being given only five months to live due to cancer.

Smith's story serves as a reminder that life is precious, and people should make the most of the time they have.
