On July 10, 2020, a devastating road accident occurred at Equator, along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway, claiming the lives of four people.
Assistant Chief Mumberes Location Nicholus Rotich confirmed the accident, stating that it involved a saloon car and a trailer.
The victims were traveling in a saloon car from Nakuru Town heading towards Eldoret, while the trailer was heading to Nakuru town.
According to the chief, four occupants of the saloon car died in the accident, while those in the trailer sustained injuries.
