On Friday night, a Volkswagen Passat caught fire on Lang'ata Road, causing a commotion among motorists.
The driver, who was alone at the time, noticed a burning smell like that of wires and attempted to extinguish the flames but was unsuccessful.
Fortunately, he managed to escape without sustaining any injuries.
One motorist stopped in front of the burning vehicle and activated their hazard lights, while others sped past.
The Nairobi County fire brigade was called to the scene and arrived at around 9:20pm, battling the fire for a few minutes before successfully extinguishing it.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, with some speculating that it may have been due to an electric fault.
On Twitter, one user @SilasNTO claimed that it took the fire brigade over 30 minutes to arrive from the CBD.
This incident marks the second car fire on Lang'ata Road in less than a week.
