K24 TV Launches New Show 'The Loop' ¶
On Friday, July 10, 2020, K24 TV debuted a new show called 'The Loop' at 9 pm, replacing 'Weekend With Betty' which ended its run 40 days after Betty Kyallo resigned.
The show will be hosted by Valentine Njoroge, Mike Wachira, and Jason Runo. Speaking to Kenyans.co.ke, one of the show's team members revealed that 'The Loop' will have two segments.
The first part will feature an in-depth analysis of issues affecting Kenyans, where Mike and Valentine will also interview experts. Valentine described the show as 'a bold and fresh look at our lives in Kenya today', adding that for her it was a dream come true.
Mike hinted that 'we are going to take a bold and fresh look into our lives here in Kenya'. The show will also have a section called 'Unplugged', which will delve into issues affecting creative arts and entertainment.
Jason Runo, who had taken a 16-year break from regular TV, will host the 'Unplugged' segment. He stated, 'After a 16-year hiatus from a regular TV gig. I'm excited to be back! So honoured to work with Valentine and Mike.'
Valentine Njoroge started her media career as a radio presenter over 10 years ago, while Mike is a presenter at HomeBoyz Radio and a human rights lawyer. Jason is the founder and proprietor of Because You Said So, Kenya's first improvised comedy show.
K24 TV also made additions to its regular news programs, hiring Diana Rose, Giverson Maina, Daniel Kituu, Abuller Ahmed, and Nicholas Nduti.
