COVID-19: Kenya Records 473 New Cases, 8 Deaths in 24 Hours

July 10, 2020 - The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread in Kenya, with the country recording 473 new cases and 8 deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe, the new cases bring the total number of confirmed cases to 9,448.

Of the new cases, 76 patients have been discharged from hospital, bringing the number of recovered cases to 2,733.

Meanwhile, the country has lost 8 lives to the virus in the past 24 hours, with the total number of deaths now standing at 173.

Kenya has been taking measures to contain the spread of the virus, including enforcing a curfew and restricting movement.

As the situation continues to unfold, the government has urged citizens to remain vigilant and adhere to the guidelines set out to prevent the spread of the virus.
