Kenya has recorded over 8,000 COVID-19 cases in recent days following the opening of borders by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Mandera, Nairobi, and Mombasa.

Nakuru County has reported 23 cases of COVID-19, with 18 of them being staff members from St. Andrews Turi School in Molo.

According to Nakuru County Health Director Gichuki Kariuki, the 18 staff members tested positive for COVID-19.

As of now, Kenya has recorded over 8,000 COVID-19 cases in recent days following the opening of borders by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Mandera, Nairobi, and Mombasa.
