July 10, 2020 - A Kenyan pilot, Eric Agolla Lugalia, has been charged with forging documents to claim a Sh250 million land in Karen, Nairobi. The charge was laid on Friday.
The land in question is located along Bogani Road, measuring 1.970 hectares and valued at Sh250 million. According to court documents, Lugalia allegedly forged a land title dated August 2, 2005, purporting it to be a genuine Certificate of Title issued by the Ministry of Lands.
He also faces a separate charge of forging a sale agreement for the land, purporting it to be a genuine document signed by Jonathan Kipkemboi Toroitich, the late son of former President Daniel arap Moi.
Lugalia denied the charges when he was arraigned in court on Friday. He was granted a cash bail of Sh150,000 by Magistrate Muthoni Nzibe, who set the mention date for July 30.
