On July 10, 2020, a peace forum was held in Narok County, bringing together communities in the region to find a lasting solution to the disputes that have been ravaging the area.

The forum, organized by the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), Anglican Development Services Kenya, USAID Kenya, and FHI 360, aimed to end the inter-community conflict that has led to loss of property and deaths in recent years.

Speaking at the function, NCIC Commissioner Dorcas Kedogo commended the community for embracing dialogue as a means of solving conflict and restoring calm in the community.

Commissioner Wambui Nyutu emphasized the need for dialogue between the youth and the elderly, saying that cultural disputes between the two groups can be avoided through open communication.

Ms. Wambui also urged women to take part in peace processes, highlighting their crucial role in conflict resolution.

NCIC commended Anglican Development Services Kenya for partnering with them to restore calm in Narok County and urged other partners and stakeholders to come on board to help ensure lasting peace in the region.
