Published on July 10, 2020, a Kenyan girl group known as Linda has undergone a significant transformation, rebranding itself as Nadra.

The name change, which translates to 'Rare' in Swahili, marks a new chapter for the group, which initially consisted of three members who transitioned from music enthusiasts to singer-songwriters in 2017.

However, their partnership with Linda Entertainment, led by Robert Waweru, came to an end in 2018 due to disagreements over financial transparency and a high-pressure environment.

Following their departure, Raych and Alexis joined forces with Asha Mutuku of Asha's Entertainment in 2019, paving the way for their rebranding as Nadra.

Since then, the group has released well-crafted Swahili covers of popular classics, including 'Baby Baby' by Brandy and 'All Night Long' by Mary J. Blige, known locally as 'Mpaka Che.'

Nadra has also shared the stage with prominent artists such as Dbanj, Fally Ipupa, Eric Wainana, Dan Aceda, Kansoul, and the Nairobi Horns Project.

As they continue to grow, the group is set to launch their EP, 'Love Teaser,' this weekend.
